System Monitoring

Cyber City Systems utilizes multiple layers of monitoring to insure system and data security, privacy and integrity. An automated notification system immediately alerts engineers, supervisors and stakeholders when the MetroDMS® system is activated for any building or facility. Proprietary artificial intelligence protocols, human insight, and live observation of both active incidents and routine requests for information are combined to ensure that any anomalous activity or unauthorized access is immediately blocked. System performance is also continually monitored, with automated priority resource allocation provided to active incidents.

Although MetroDMS® is intuitive and designed with a user-friendly interface; there are times when assistance may be advantageous. We understand that every incident is consequential to the parties involved. The avoidance of any miscommunication or misinterpretation is critical. It is therefore the policy of Cyber City Systems to exclusively utilize on-shore qualified engineers to monitor and provide support to first responders, building owners, and other stakeholders during the response to an active incident. Bilateral communications are possible through a secure, trusted-user communications system integrated into MetroDMS®, and through standard methods.

Application Support

MetroDMS® provides mission critical operations and information, where even a brief system downtime can have a significant impact. The system’s architecture ensures that system readiness and system optimization are continually monitored and maintained internally at Cyber City Systems. While the design of MetroDMS® alleviates its users from requiring support to maintain its basic operations; users may desire, from time-to-time, application support for site, facility or agency specific data feeds, monitors, sensors or other system peripherals , or site or location specific dynamic interfaces.

Cyber City Systems understands MetroDMS® is an essential tool in the preservation of life and property, therefore, unlimited application support is a standard feature of the system. The Company has developed many proactive features and smart online tools that can help prevent challenges from occurring, and which enable the rapid and uncomplicated resolution of issues when they happen. Cyber City Systems maintains strategic engagements with the stakeholders of MetroDMS® to ensure ongoing co-innovation, technical risk mitigation, continuous improvement, and operations optimization. Secure collaborative on-line communities allow facilities and agencies to share operational and technical knowledge.

Structural, Build-out and Informational Changes

Buildings, facilities and cities can be reasonably regarded as a form of living entity, as they are forever evolving through changes in tenants, modernizations, improvements, structural changes, buildings, technological advancements, and optimized or new capabilities. Every second counts during a critical incident, and having the most current configuration or data possible is vital to the preservation of life and property. Recognizing the importance of accurate and up-to-date structural and additional building and facility information and data, Cyber City Systems has included unlimited changes for critical information and structural changes as a standard feature of MetroDMS®.

MetroDMS® is optimized for the maximum automated data flow of updated information. Both major and minor changes are incorporated into the active system on a seamless basis to ensure that there is no downtime. Major changes to a building or facility can be generated prior to a change date, and then instantly enabled on-demand to reflect the new configuration. Routine information changes can be accomplished on-the-fly by stakeholders with the assistance of an intuitive and user-friendly interface. All changes are logged with points of restoration created to ensure that a verified last known good data set is always available.

End-User Training

All applications developed by Cyber City Systems are designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, with even a first time or novice user being able to utilize the basic functionality of MetroDMS®. The system has a robust interactive help feature, is able to operate in a training mode, and it has a simulation/drill mode to allow for familiarity/use of the system prior to an incident or disaster. Efficient use of MetroDMS® saves lives and property, and reduces costs for buildings, facilities, and agencies. Enabling end users to achieve the greatest proficiency benefits all stakeholders, therefore end user training is included as a standard feature of MetroDMS®.

End-user training is provided through a combination of methods, ensuring the maximum possible flexibility and resulting in superior capabilities. The integrated training and testing module of MetroDMS® enables on demand practical use of the application. The Knowledge Center, an on-line offering with resources of e-learning content, provides additional end-user training. The integrated and on-line resources provide in-depth training in a self-paced learning environment. Comprehensive training and collaboration with staff and engineers is offered at Company offices. Finally, customized virtual or on-site training tailored for the needs of a particular business, building, facility or agency is available.

Platform, Sensor and Device Compatibility

The architecture engineered by Cyber City Systems for MetroDMS® ensures its compatibility across all popular software and hardware platforms. Manual input can be achieved through keyboard entries, mouse clicks, by means of a touch screen, or a combination of all three. Automated input is received via building and facility systems, sensors, and controls, which also allow for syntactic and semantic interoperability. CAD systems and GPS devices provide additional automated data feeds. MetroDMS® adds a layer of intelligence to leverage the existing technology infrastructure of buildings, facilities and government agencies.

The hardware and software independent architecture of MetroDMS® alleviates any communications or data issues between departments, agencies and jurisdictions that are common in large incidents, disasters and mutual aid situations. MetroDMS® is designed to maximize and leverage both existing and emerging technologies. Existing technology will not become obsolete or require updating or upgrading to be compatible with future versions of MetroDMS®. Cyber City Systems is dedicated to maximizing the potential and effectiveness of new sensors and devices, and works to insure that any new technology acquired by buildings, facilities or agencies will be integrated into MetroDMS®.

Updates and Upgrades

Providing the greatest degree of capabilities and leveraging emerging technology is essential to the preservation of life, public safety and property, therefore automatic updates and upgrades are included by Cyber City Systems as a standard feature of MetroDMS®. The system architecture ensures that no action is required by the stakeholder to install or utilize the latest update or upgrade. Furthermore, system updates and upgrades do not result in the compatibility issues and/or the requirement of buildings, facilities or agencies to update or upgrade their systems, platforms, sensors or other devices.

System and application updates and upgrades are engineered and implemented to achieve the following goals: ease of use, enhanced capabilities, maximized data throughput rate and display performance, expanded interoperability, superior privacy protections, and system security. Upgrades and updates are, without exception, designed as an evolution of the current version of MetroDMS®, enabling a continuity and familiarity of design and process to ensure an ease of use during the transition between versions. The primary impetus for design and functionally innovation is the substantial and continuous collaboration between stakeholders and the engineers and design team of Cyber City Systems.
